Job Summary
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures in residential, commercial, industrial, or public buildings by reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine system layouts. Plan and execute installation and service of plumbing systems, fixtures, piping equipment, and controls for transporting water, waste, gases, or hot liquids under the direction of the Supervisor of Plant Maintenance. Coordinate with other trades and laborers to ensure all specifications, legislation, and policies are met while adhering to building codes and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or High School Equivalency Diploma
- one year of advanced trade school
- three years experience in maintenance field
- Journeyman Certification in Plumbing from a recognized and accredited post –secondary institution
- Ability to work cooperatively with other trades
