Job Summary
Plumber will install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems in buildings and modular units on federal and commercial construction projects worldwide. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, installing pipes, fixtures, water supply/drainage systems, performing pressure tests, identifying leaks, and repairing as needed. Work involves insulation installation (PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, copper), soldering/brazing/welding, coordinating with supervisors and project managers, and ensuring safety, code compliance, and project timelines. Requires 10+ years of plumber/pipefitter experience, Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility, US work authorization, ability to travel domestically and abroad (CONUS/OCONUS up to 75%), and readiness to work in varied construction environments; travel and flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are required. Supervisory responsibility is not required. The role demands strong problem-solving, blueprint-reading, and collaboration with other trades to support mission-critical facilities work.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven experience as a plumber/pipefitter in industrial and/or commercial plumbing
- Experience in industrial and/or commercial construction
- Experience supporting federal government customers in a construction environment (preferred)
- Must have and maintain a Top Secret federal security clearance with eligibility for SCI
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Must be able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS
- Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test, and motor vehicle record review
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Ability to travel up to 75% and deployment to CONUS/OCONUS destinations
- Ability to travel to job sites on short notice and work in austere/hostile areas
- Must be able to meet safety and regulatory requirements for construction environments
