Job Summary
Service Plumber to diagnose, install, and repair residential plumbing systems including water, gas, and sewage. Responsibilities include diagnosing problems, determining repairs or replacements, installing and assembling plumbing systems and equipment, testing for leaks, repairing and maintaining plumbing components, managing inventory of supplies, ensuring safety, and communicating with homeowners. Requires reading blueprints, familiarity with local/state codes, and ability to work flexible hours including weekends; valid driver's license and Journeyman Plumbing License preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in plumbing installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
- Expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing water, gas, and sewage systems.
- Familiarity with local and state plumbing codes and regulations.
- Experience with various tools and equipment, such as pipe cutters, threaders, and soldering tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, team members, and supervisors.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, working in confined spaces, and handling tools for extended periods.
- Safety-Oriented: In-depth knowledge of safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Customer Service: Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service, with a focus on professionalism and customer satisfaction.
- Technology Skills: Basic knowledge of mobile apps and work management software to track tasks and report on job progress.
- Leadership & Teamwork: Ability to lead apprentices, work well within a team, and coordinate with other trades on larger projects.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and emergency calls, as needed.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and 3 years of driving experience.
- Licensing: Active and valid Journeyman Plumbing License. Additional certifications such as backflow prevention, and gas piping are a plus.
