Job Summary
Plumber installs, repairs and replaces pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain boiler water, gas and drainage systems. Reads blueprints, understands shut off valves, and serves as the point of contact for plumbing vendors at PMC facilities. Uses required tools safely, maintains a clean work area, coordinates parts and supplies, tracks time and completes work orders and related paperwork. Performs PMs, maintains water systems, and assists in training others as needed. Provides cooperative service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors, and follows safety procedures and disaster drills. Works full-time with a 40-hour schedule at Parrish Healthcare locations in Titusville, FL.
Required Qualifications
- Formal Education: Vocational or other technical school, certification training or apprenticeship required beyond high school
- Work Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience
- Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations: Four (4) yr apprenticeship required (equivalent years of experience in field may be accepted in lieu of apprenticeship)
- State of Florida License preferred
- Journeyman 5 License (Plumbing) preferred
- Valid Florida Drivers License and MVR acceptable to PMC’s corporate automobile insurance carrier
