Job Summary
Assemble, install, and repair plumbing, water flow, and drainage systems in commercial and industrial facilities, including digging trenches for new pipelines and installing hardware for fixtures. Perform tasks involving copper, galvanized, soldering, stainless, and PVC pipe work while adhering to city, state, and federal codes. Utilize cross-training skills in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and mechanical projects to meet customer needs. This role requires two years of trade experience and the ability to work in moving mechanical parts and varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Two years of experience in the trade
- Knowledge of working with copper, galvanized, soldering, stainless, PVC Pipe
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to frequently walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
