Job Summary
Plumber Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining pipe systems, drains, ducts and related fittings in water, sewage, and drainage systems; reading blueprints and specifications to determine layout and material needs; measuring, cutting, bending, and threading pipes; liaising with clients to determine requirements and communicate issues; performing routine inspections and keeping detailed work logs; complying with safety policies; completing duties in both shop and field locations; and responding to work orders for troubleshooting and repairs, including emergency fixes within the scope of knowledge. Requires 5+ years’ plumbing experience, knowledge of pump systems, ability to work solo or in a team, and a valid driver’s license; physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in various environments. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing mechanics
- Knowledge of pump systems
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- A valid and clean driver's license to operate company vehicles
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- Ability to measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand/power tools
- Adherence to safety policies
- Capacity to perform both shop and field work
- Ability to respond to work orders and perform emergency repairs within area of knowledge
