Job Summary
Experienced plumber needed to carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied social housing in Brent, London. Duties include diagnosing leaks, repairing drains and blockages, replacing taps, toilets and sanitary ware, repairing or replacing pipework and fittings, investigating hot water systems and radiators, and ensuring compliance with current plumbing regulations and health and safety standards. You will record job details using handheld devices, work in residents' homes with a professional customer-service approach, maintain tools and vehicle, and participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota as required. A full UK driving licence is required and the role includes a company van and fuel card; DBS/Security checks apply. The role is full-time, permanent, with a salary up to £38,202.50 per annum (converted to USD as max salary for the posting).
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage workload
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service in occupied homes
- Understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
- Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
