Job Summary
Plumber responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems (water, sewage, gas, steam, and air) to ensure operations run as designed. Involves routine installations, preventive maintenance, testing of equipment, and supporting construction/renovation projects. Monitor contractor work during construction, manage parts and materials, perform daily rounds to verify system functionality, document repairs per guidelines, and assist other trades as needed. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a state Journeyman Plumber license, 2–3 years of plumbing service experience, knowledge of plumbing codes, ability to read blueprints, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Must maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, weekends, and on-call duties; on-site role located at Cambridge Street, Cambridge, MA.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Licenses and Credentials: Journeyman Plumber [State License]
- Experience: Plumbing service experience 2-3 years required
- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of plumbing supplies and equipment; ability to read blueprints and piping diagrams; knowledge of Massachusetts plumbing codes; working knowledge of automated building maintenance systems; communication and computer skills; willingness to maintain variable work schedule
