Job Summary
Maintain plumbing, drainage, supply, and heating systems across the residential retirement community campus by assembling, installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing pipes, fittings, fixtures, commercial kitchen equipment, and wastewater treatment systems. Operate power tools and hand tools while reading plans and interpreting drawings to ensure compliance with the National Plumbing Code. Perform repairs on domestic hot water distribution systems, including mixing valves and pumps, while adhering to safety protocols and safe work practices. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 125 pounds, and experience with related trades including electrical, carpentry, and HVAC.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of ten years of comprehensive work experience in the plumbing trade
- Knowledge of the National Plumbing Code
- Experience with residential and commercial plumbing applications
- Working knowledge of domestic hot water distribution systems
- Experience with mixing valves
- Experience with pumps
- Familiarity with related trades such as electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance
- Ability to operate power tools
- Ability to maintain personal hand tools
- Valid driver's license in state of residence
- Ability to be insured by Kendal-Crosslands Communities insurance
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, instructions, and procedures
