Job Summary
Licensed plumber responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining District plumbing systems (hot water heaters, drinking fountains, wastewater, water, gas, steam, valves, etc.) across District facilities. Reads blueprints and schematics to determine effective repairs or upgrades; diagnoses issues; estimates materials and labor; oversees backflow inspections and grease traps; inspects eyewash stations and safety showers; responds to emergencies after hours; maintains tools and equipment; may assist with snow removal; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman plumbing license required
- Class E driver’s license, with good driving history
- Good work attitude with a positive and pleasant disposition
- Self-starter; able to work independently
