Job Summary

Analyze, plan, and perform service, repair, and maintenance on commercial plumbing systems, including troubleshooting, installing piping, and modifying fixtures. Ensure structures remain in excellent working condition upon project completion while adhering to all city, state, and federal regulatory statutes. Read basic plumbing schematics, blueprints, and safety documents; write routine reports and correspondence. Manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment, follow all safety procedures with proper PPE, and maintain a clean work area. May supervise others as assigned. Requires a current Texas Journeyman License, four years of experience, and ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and on uneven terrain. Overtime may be required; travel and overnight stays possible.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas Journeyman License or higher
  • 4 years of plumbing experience
  • Valid driver's license and insurability with company insurance carrier
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. - E-Verify System is used to verify employment eligibility
  • Proficient Verbal and Written English language skills
  • Proficient ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure – using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to follow and carry out both written and verbal instructions in a timely manner
  • Ability to arrive on time daily
  • Ability to follow and perform procedures and troubleshoot problems
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Ability to safely use ladders in performance of job duties including climbing/descending from a ladder
  • Ability to work at heights above ground floor level
  • Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
  • Ability to use a tape measure, cut & drill holes
  • Demonstration of proper and safe use of tools, related equipment, and personal protection equipment
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently in commercial and construction settings
  • Always maintain professional business acumen
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 30 minutes to 1 hour of Unpaid Time for Lunch is recommended
  • Start Time is 7:30 AM, End Time is 4:00 PM
  • Overtime will be required on an as needed basis
  • Travel and overnight stays may be required
  • May be subject to Pre-Employment drug and alcohol tests, and background investigation

Desired Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred
  • Ability to operate backhoe and/or excavators preferred
