Job Summary
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on all plumbing systems, including roof drains, fire sprinklers, water systems, sewage, gas lines, and steam equipment throughout the facility. Perform required inspections on backflows, fire hydrants, pumps, and pressure vessels while maintaining accurate logs per ACA requirements. Respond to on-call emergency repairs and after-hours requests, documenting all work orders via PC and PDA. Coordinate outside contractors for associated systems and participate in staff and safety meetings. Work flexible hours, including after-hours, holidays, and weekends, within a correctional facility environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 1-3 years of professional experience relative to the role
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must be able to work in hazardous conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to work in loud environments and temperature extremes

- Understand and abide by all applicable Safety Data Sheets (SDS) procedures
- Understand and abide by all Lock Out Tag Out procedures
- Possess a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PDA
