Job Summary
Plumbers/Maintenance Technicians needed to service residential and multi-family (HOA/condo) properties in the Chicagoland area. Perform plumbing service, repair, and installation, diagnose issues in single- and multi-unit buildings, and handle preventative maintenance and general repairs (including drywall, carpentry, and minor electrical). Respond to work orders across properties, communicate with property managers, dispatch, and residents, ensure compliance with local codes and safety standards, document work using the work order system, maintain tools and company vehicle, and participate in rotating on-call after-hours/emergency service. Requires 3+ years of plumbing or handyman experience, field-based problem solving, ability to lift heavy weights, valid driver’s license, and strong customer service skills. Preference for Chicago plumbing license or apprentice experience, drain cleaning or water heater experience, multi-trade capabilities, and experience with dispatch software.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of plumbing, maintenance technician, or handyman experience
- Experience with service-based plumbing (not just new construction)
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently in the field
- Experience working in residential, apartment, condo, or HOA environments preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly (75–100 lbs occasionally)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic understanding of plumbing systems, codes, and best practices
- English proficiency
