Job Summary
Plan and layout plumbing components for the construction and renovation of relocatable modular structures. Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and systems for water distribution and wastewater disposal according to blueprints and specifications. Read technical drawings, assemble temporary and permanent buildings, and perform preventative maintenance on plumbing, heating, and air conditioning equipment. Test repaired systems for proper performance and maintain knowledge of compliance standards and repair techniques. Ensure all work meets company and contract quality standards. This Grande Prairie shop-based role may include field work and requires a registered Journeyman or Apprentice with five years of construction experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a registered Journeyman or Apprentice
- Must have valid driver's license
- Current 3- year driver's abstract required
- 5 years plumbing work experience in construction settings
- Working and practical knowledge of the applications of plumbing techniques and methods
- Able to operate all hand and power tools required to perform tasks specific to trade
- Ability to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to team members, and others
- Perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying, and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 45 lbs
- This position is safety sensitive and will require drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment
