Job Summary
Oversee daily work assignments for a crew of up to 12 multi-craft plumbers, directing installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems including water flow, drainage, and medical gas brazing using copper, PVC, and CPVC. Manage rough-in to trim projects in commercial and industrial facilities while ensuring compliance with city, state, and federal codes. Conduct on-the-job training, mentor employees to correct skill deficiencies, and compile operational data regarding time, inventory, and equipment usage. Report accidents, near misses, and employee performance issues to office supervision. This role requires cross-training in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, and sheet metal to meet diverse customer job requests.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Two years of experience in the trade
- Knowledge of working with copper, galvanized, soldering, stainless, PVC Pipe
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to regularly stand
