Job Summary
Lead and supervise plumbing crews on-site, overseeing installations, retrofits, and repairs for water supply lines, drainage systems, and mechanical equipment including boilers, pumps, and air handlers. Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure work adheres to applicable codes and project schedules. Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and other trades while enforcing safety protocols and maintaining high customer service standards. Manage journeypersons and apprentices, requiring Red Seal Certification, a Gas B Ticket, and experience with prime contractor projects. Willingness to work shifts in remote northern locations is essential. GDI Ainsworth is an integrated multi-trade company focused on asset maintenance and refurbishment solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Certification in Plumbing or Steamfitting
- Valid Gas B Ticket
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role
- Proven experience managing prime contractor projects and working with multiple trades
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, industry standards, and local codes
- Valid AB Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Ability to manage and mentor journeypersons and apprentices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment as required
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
- Willing to work shifts in remote locations
