Job Summary
Undertake all types of plumbing repairs including taps, WC's, and waste's, alongside basic tiling duties and extensive renovation works. Arrange materials and plant, liaise with tenants and line managers regarding work timing, and ensure safe handling and storage of equipment and vehicles. Carry out tasks in line with Approved Codes of Practice and Building Regulations, including working at height, in confined spaces, and lone working in tenants' homes. Maintain a full tool kit, complete required training, and adhere to localised risk assessments while delivering a high-quality end product.
Required Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 in a specific trade i.e. Plumbing or equivalent with the ability to undertake other various trade work
- A full Driving Licence
- Several years' experience of repairs and maintenance work within both void and tenanted properties
- A sound understanding of the construction industry in particular the building trade including issues surrounding legislation, Health and Safety, manual handling, working at heights etc.
- A good knowledge and experience of working within social housing
- The ability to plan ahead to ensure that all jobs can be completed on time, first time
