Job Summary
Lead and supervise a 4-person crew in plugging and abandonment operations for existing gas wells in the Appalachian Basin. Responsibilities include managing well-control activities, rig-up/rig-down of double-derrick service rig, mud-pump and laydown-machine operations, pipe tally, fluids on location, casing recovery, and cementing, while maintaining a proven safety record and effective communication with crew and management. Requires at least 10 years of relevant experience, current IADC well-control certification (or willingness to obtain), and the ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing. Benefits include base salary of 92,000 USD, per diem, hotel, rig bonus, travel flights home on days off, comprehensive insurance, 401(k) matching, and CDL program eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in plugging and abandonment operations or related well service
- Well control experience including killing wells with fluids, nippling down well heads and nippling up BOPs; current IADC well control certificate (or willingness to obtain at company expense)
- Double-derrick service rig operation including rig up/rig down; experience as a derrick hand; power tong operations
- Mud pump operation experience
- Laydown machine experience
- Detail oriented
- Proven safety record
- Able to pass a pre-hire drug (follicle) and alcohol test
- Experience in managing pipe tally, managing fluids on location, casing recovery and cementing operations
- Good communication skills with crew, company man, and management
- Experience in Enverus field ticketing a plus
