Job Summary
Sort, place, arrange, and pack ingredients and finished products on a moving conveyor while adhering to safety, quality, and production standards. Rotate through duties including sorting, assembling, inspecting, and pulling substandard items into designated containers. Report line breakdowns or quality problems immediately to supervisors. Maintain hygiene protocols and wear required protective gear in a cold, wet environment with temperatures as low as 43 degrees. Work until product is off the line, including extended hours after regular business and on weekends. This role offers a pathway to grow into a machine operator position.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18yrs old to work for Monogram Foods
- Maintain balance while walking, stepping and standing on slippery wet surfaces
- Stand in one place and maintain balance on a hard surface for up to 3 1/2 hours at one time
- Dependent upon body height, may bend over a conveyor to reach down for up to three hours at one time or repetitively reach arms above shoulders for up to three hours at one time
- Observe products moving quickly on a conveyor system for up to 3 1/2 hours at one time
- Work with coordination dexterity and speed. Includes coordination between eyes and hands to identify and pull substandard components moving on a moving conveyor system. This includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This includes ability to repetitively pinch, pull and grasp components
- Regularly roll 30 pounds and lift up to 10lbs
- Tolerate moving mechanical parts, vibration and high volumes of noise from machinery and moving equipment
- Hear moving machinery, safety alarms and work instruction with variations of high volume background noise
- Tolerate cold and wet environment in temperatures as low as 43 degrees and handle frozen components while wearing moderately insulated gloves for up to three hours at one time/hot elements
- Must be able to: Perform other duties as assigned including relocation to other production lines or company locations
Desired Qualifications
- Read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers (add and subtract numbers)
