Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and install PLC-based control systems, including Siemens, GE Fanuc, and Allen Bradley units. Maintain and update SCADA systems like iFix and iHistorian, while performing regular program backups for disaster recovery. Calibrate instrumentation to meet process and ISO standards, and tune, program, and maintain variable frequency drives (VFDs). Quickly diagnose control issues to reduce equipment downtime by reading schematics and updating technical documentation. Utilize CMMS software to manage parts, work orders, and maintenance records, ensuring strict compliance with NFPA 70E, LOTO, and site safety policies. Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to support system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with industrial automation or controls system in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and schematic interpretation skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, or related field preferred
