Job Summary
Automation design engineer role focused on designing and delivering automation equipment across mechanical, electronic, electrical, and software domains. Responsible for interpreting requirements, ensuring design for manufacturability, producing electrical schematics, BOMs, installation/user manuals, and performing on-site commissioning and handover. Collaborates withProject Manager/Engineer to meet timelines and budgets and supports senior engineers in design activities across automation projects. Proficient in PLC/HMI programming, servo/stepper motor control, bus communications (RS232/RS485/ModbusTCP/EtherCAT), and electrical control circuit design. Must have experience with Mitsubishi, Inovance, and other PLC/HMI toolchains, and be able to work with non-standard automation equipment development and field debugging.
Required Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in automation equipment design and installation
- Experience with PLC brands such as Mitsubishi, Inovance (Yokogawa 相近品牌名需确认), Xiangjie (信捷), including programming of PLC and HMI
- Experience with servo or stepper motors from Mitsubishi, Inovance, LSeries (雷赛) and parameter tuning of servo/stepper systems
- Proficiency in wiring/controls design including RS232, RS485, ModbusTCP, EtherCAT
- Proficiency in Electric AutoCAD or similar electrical design tools
- Experience in electrical component selection and BOM output
- Electrical schematic planning/drawing and device programming (PLC, HMI, robotics)
