Job Summary
Provide bag, golf cart, and range services to members and guests. Check golf cars for tire pressure, brake operation, and safety; loads bags from storage onto carts; transports range balls and fills containers. Operate tractor and ball picker to retrieve balls; wash all range balls daily. Remove bags from carts and return them to assigned racks. Return carts to shelter; remove towels, pencils, score cards, and tees; save reusable items; check for damage; wash cars with pressure cleaner; park and connect charger cables. Advise Pro Shop of lost clubs; clean all clubs and maintain rental equipment; maintain cleanliness and order in Bag Storage Room. Attend staff meetings and perform other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Golf Professional.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations
- Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment which is typical of this position
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling
- Frequent repetitive motions
- Continuous standing and walking
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals
- Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
