Job Summary
Director, Partnership & Media Sales leads new business development across sponsorship and media partnerships for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury, Valley Suns, and Legends Entertainment District; manages one direct report; responsible for end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to closing; collaborates cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, Product Development, and Legal teams; mentors and develops a Manager of Partnership & Media Sales; builds high-impact partnership solutions across media, digital, experiential, and venue platforms; aims to drive revenue growth through integrated sponsorship strategies; requires 7+ years in sponsorship/media sales, proven ability to close multi-million deals, and strong leadership and communication skills; degree requirements include a Bachelor's in Business, Marketing, or Communications, with an MBA preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in sponsorship sales, media sales, or integrated marketing partnerships, preferably in sports, entertainment, or media
- Demonstrated ability to close six- and seven-figure partnership deals
- Strong leadership qualities with experience managing or mentoring junior team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including pitch creation and presentation delivery
- Deep understanding of consultative selling and partnership marketing principles
- Results-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and proposal/presentation tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; MBA a plus
