Job Summary
Playbook Officer within the Culture, Creative Industries and 24 Hour London Unit to shape and implement a new Strategic Licensing policy and powers. You will work with borough licensing teams, the Metropolitan Police, industry and other partners to design guidance, toolkits and templates, test content with users, draft concise briefings and reports for senior officers and the Mayor’s Office, and support procurement, events, and project processes in a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment. The role focuses on driving forward a policy function for licensing that aims to land well with partners, increase economic and cultural vibrancy, and pilot new licensing services across London.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in the field of licensing, 24 Hour London policy or user-centred design is highly desirable
- Evidence of project-based work and preparing clear and concise and influential reports
- Experience of working with high profile stakeholders and senior management in a complex political environment and preparing briefings
- Experience in local government, other public body, or nightlife/hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Good organisational and planning skills, operating in a highly pressured and complex environment
