Job Summary
Plating Process Engineer responsible for supporting process quality control and identifying root causes with solutions to sustain or improve jewelry production quality. Drive process optimization for cost efficiency, stay current with new technologies, implement FMEA with cross-functional teams, conduct root cause analyses (RCA), and ensure adhesion to quality standards. Key duties include analyzing production processes for optimization and efficiency, developing robust manufacturing processes, implementing and enforcing quality controls, resolving issues related to plating processes (including RCI/RMA), and integrating innovations (automation, bath chemistry control, data-driven process control). Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, knowledge of electroplating principles, experience in thickness control and defect troubleshooting, and proficiency with data tools (Minitab, Power BI) alongside cross-functional collaboration, safety, and ISO/OHSE compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma’s degree or higher in Production
- Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in Chemical or Electroplating
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, production, process engineer position
