Job Summary

Act as the technical lead and key point of contact for third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring solutions align with business and technical requirements. Manage escalated technical issues by coordinating internal teams and external partners to deliver timely resolutions in line with service standards. Support and enhance the organisation's security, governance, and compliance frameworks, including vulnerability management and system patching. Maintain and develop identity and access management solutions, including SSO, MFA, automated provisioning, and security baselines. Lead the creation, review, and continuous improvement of technical processes, documentation, test plans, and operational playbooks. Monitor platform performance, security, and resilience, managing alerts and driving proactive service improvements. Provide technical leadership during major incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures. Support the design, implementation, testing, and transition of new systems, platforms, and technology projects. This role acts as a senior technical escalation point across enterprise technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, and Defender. Based in Bristol on a full-time permanent contract, the position offers a salary up to £57,000 with hybrid working opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong experience working with and managing third-party vendors, service providers, and stakeholders to deliver effective IT services.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Defender, Active Directory, Windows Server, and Power Platform.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing IT governance, security, and operational best practices, including vulnerability management and compliance processes.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure technologies, including networking, Wi-Fi, firewalls, email security, backup, disaster recovery, and identity and access management.
  • Experience supporting IT operations and projects, including service desk environments, monitoring tools, testing, troubleshooting, and technical project delivery.
  • Successful DBS check.
