Platform Software Engineer - Core Infrastructure

HybridBengaluru, Karnataka, India

Full TimeMedium

Job Summary

Design, deploy, and run end-to-end AWS infrastructure from the edge through multi-account cell architectures and the EKS platform. Automate provisioning and upgrades using infrastructure-as-code and GitOps to maintain consistency across trillions of daily events. Move between operational work, automation, and greenfield design while collaborating with product teams to build self-service capabilities. Maintain platform reliability, security, and cost-efficiency through upgrades, autoscaling, observability, and compliance hardening including FedRAMP and FIPS. Share the on-call rotation with the team to ensure uptime and resilience as the architecture scales to support AI and agent workloads.

Required Qualifications

  • A solid cloud infrastructure background and good software-engineering habits, usually around 5+ years as a Platform, DevOps, Software, or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or the equivalent in real experience.
  • Strong hands-on AWS across networking, edge, and compute (for example VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, EKS).
  • Solid Kubernetes (ideally Amazon EKS) and infrastructure as code (Terraform or OpenTofu), with a GitOps mindset.
  • Comfortable moving between operational work, automation, requests from other teams, and new design, and prioritising sensibly across them.
  • A production mindset: you care about uptime, security, and efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly in English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in or near a compliance-driven environment (FedRAMP or FIPS is a real plus).
  • Building self-service internal developer platforms with modern tooling.
  • Working with cell-based or multi-region architectures at scale.
