Job Summary
Platform Operations Specialist responsible for real-time monitoring and troubleshooting of Nasdaq trading systems and market operations. Key duties include monitoring production systems, diagnosing and addressing software/hardware/capacity issues to maintain uptime, supporting daily market operations and recovery procedures, collaborating with clients, network providers, and internal teams to resolve connectivity and technical problems, maintaining operational documentation, and partnering with developers and engineering to implement scalable solutions. Desired background includes Linux administration, networking fundamentals, DevOps familiarity, cloud platforms (AWS), and containerization; the role prefers Agile practices and certifications related to infrastructure management. Located in Vilnius with a hybrid work arrangement (at least 3 days in-office). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field / equivalent practical experience in data center, trading, or network operations
- Several years of experience in technical operations, system administration, or a related field
- Demonstrable understanding of Linux environments, including administration and troubleshooting
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including protocols, routing, firewalls, and load balancing
- Clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure
