Job Summary
As a Platform Lead for the Core Banking team, oversee technical direction, development, and implementation of technology platforms. Responsibilities include developing a strategic roadmap for platform development, providing technical leadership, ensuring strong platform architecture, implementing performance metrics, leading platform-related projects, managing relationships with vendors, and staying updated with industry trends. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, 8+ years in platform development, and strong leadership skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in platform development, integration and management
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership role
- Strong technical leadership abilities with experience in technical decision-making, road mapping & platform optimization
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of Canadian banking and/or payments ecosystem including the partner landscape
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations
- Proficiency in the platform full stack (Web, Application, Database)
- Good understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure), API development, microservices architecture
- Working knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk
