Job Summary
Lead the Platform Implementation team to design, deploy, and resolve escalated issues for global client server solutions while managing the team's Book of Work and tactical priorities. Collaborate with Account Management, Project Management, and Client Service Delivery teams to ensure client requirements are met and drive business strategy forward. Foster a culture of excellence focused on automation, collaboration, and communication, performing peer reviews of configurations and ensuring stability of all managed platforms. Balance time between direct client support and team leadership, participating in daily meetings to review changes and underlying impacts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or Engineering
- 5+ years of experience working on large scale bare metal, automated solutions, in a service provider or a large enterprise environment
- 2-3 years of experience with HP, Dell and/or Lenovo Intel-based physical hardware
- RHCE certified or equivalent level of knowledge
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in Linux/Unix Operation System and tuning
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in Bash and Python scripting
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in Network services (DNS, DHCP, FTP)
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP)
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in Ansible or similar configuration management tools
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in SAN and NAS storage solutions
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in RAID and volume management
- Advanced understanding and deployment experience in VMWare and KVM virtualization
- Familiarity with WAN/LAN networking concepts
- Familiarity with relational database technologies
- Understanding of JIRA as a ticketing system
- Diligent and highly detail orientated
- Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve issues in a highly charged financial environment
- Clear verbal and written communicator
- Capable of prioritizing and managing a high workload
- Driven self-starter and self-motivation are key
- Keen to contribute ideas, share knowledge, and help others develop
- Interested in cutting edge technology
- Driven to develop own skills and knowledge
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with trading infrastructure would be advantageous
