Job Summary
Engineering Manager to lead NexHealth’s foundational platform teams in Canada (Toronto or Vancouver) within a hybrid model. You will hire and develop engineers, establish high technical standards, drive architecture and roadmap decisions, and partner with Product and leadership to scale scalable, secure infrastructure across healthcare systems. You’ll champion mentorship, data-driven decision-making, and cross-team collaboration while shaping the culture and technical direction for a growing Canada-based team. No prior health-tech experience required.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years leading high-performing engineering teams
- 8+ years total software engineering experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong people leadership and mentorship experience
- Experience delivering large-scale foundational infrastructure
- Ability to balance engineering velocity with long-term quality
- Collaboration with Product, Sales, and Customer Success
- First-principles thinking and ownership in ambiguous contexts
