Job Summary
Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing distributed Platform Engineering team across India while owning and operating a large-scale, cloud-native compute platform on AWS and Kubernetes. Drive platform strategy, roadmap, and execution aligned with engineering and business priorities, ensuring 24/7 production support, incident management, and operational excellence for thousands of services. Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across Kubernetes-based infrastructure, partnering with stakeholders to improve developer experience through self-service capabilities and evolving engineering standards. Establish best practices, lead incident reviews, and foster a culture of ownership and collaboration to support AI/ML applications powering global health products.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering
- 2+ years experience leading & developing engineering teams to build AI Infra/PaaS
- Technical background in large-scale platform or infrastructure engineering
- Expertise in Kubernetes platform management (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, or GCP GKE)
- Experience operating complex, multi-tenant, distributed platforms in production environments to host AI/ML ops
- Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, networking, security, observability, and operational excellence
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and modern engineering practices
- Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical strategy, execution, and people leadership
