Job Summary
Design, build, and automate a hybrid production platform across AWS and on-premises environments using Terraform and Ansible. Own and evolve the HashiCorp stack, including Vault for secrets management, Consul for service mesh, and Nomad for workload orchestration. Operate these components with least-privilege ACLs while partnering with software engineers, quantitative developers, and security teams to improve developer productivity and operational resilience. Manage multi-stage deployment workflows, CI/CD platforms, and internal tooling to ensure secure, scalable infrastructure. Maintain documented runbooks and secure operational patterns to support reliable platform changes.
Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering or a closely related role
- Strong experience operating production or production-like infrastructure, ideally across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments
- Hands-on experience with HashiCorp technologies, particularly Nomad, Consul and Vault
- Strong Linux systems administration and networking knowledge, including DNS, TLS, load balancing, routing, firewalls and certificate management
- Strong infrastructure-as-code experience using Terraform
- Strong automation experience using Ansible
- Experience building automation or operational tooling using Python, Go, Bash or similar scripting languages
- Good understanding of CI/CD, source control, deployment workflows and change management for infrastructure platforms

- Educated to degree (or equivalent) level or higher

- Financial Services experience in a buy-side environment
- Production ownership of Vault, Consul and Nomad clusters
- Consul service mesh at scale
- Nomad workloads integrated with Vault and Consul
- AWS Batch, Step Functions, IAM and Karpenter
- Hybrid cloud platform migration or modernisation
- Secure platform design in regulated environments
- Relevant practical experience and/or certifications in HashiCorp, cloud, Linux, security, networking or DevOps disciplines
