Job Summary
Staff Platform Engineer to lead the strategy, architecture, and development of a mission-critical cloud platform supporting operational intelligence and critical infrastructure systems. Focus on AWS architecture, platform reliability, infrastructure automation, and scalable cloud services. Key responsibilities include owning technical direction and delivery of core platform initiatives, designing scalable AWS infrastructure and networking solutions, leading infrastructure-as-code efforts and cloud automation, improving platform reliability, observability, security, and deployment workflows, partnering with Product, Operations, and Engineering leadership on roadmaps, and mentoring engineers to establish engineering best practices across the platform organization.
Required Qualifications
- 7-15 years building scalable, secure, and reliable cloud systems
- Deep expertise with AWS services and cloud architecture best practices
- Strong experience with AWS networking including VPCs, subnets, Route53, Transit Gateways, and network firewalls
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
- Strong development experience with Python and/or Node.js
- Experience replatforming or migrating services within AWS environments
- Proven ability to lead large-scale cross-functional technical initiatives
