Platform Engineer – Internal Cloud Platform Team

Job Summary
Design and maintain reusable Terraform modules for AWS services, including VPC, EKS, and networking components. Create component and integration tests to ensure quality and compatibility across infrastructure code. Collaborate with product teams to understand needs and continuously improve the developer experience. Develop and contribute to the internal InfraWeave fork, ensuring observability, security, and reliability of the deployment. Operate the internal Backstage developer portal and work with the CloudOps team to advance the AWS Landing Zone. Establish best practices in platform engineering, GitOps, and open-source collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written
- Demonstrated experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, particularly networking, containerization (EKS), and security
- Experience developing and implementing tests for infrastructure code, including component and integration testing
- Demonstrated experience with platform engineering in cloud environments, preferably AWS
- Solid programming experience, preferably in Rust

- Experience with Backstage or similar developer portals
- Strong skills in observability, security, and reliability engineering
- Advanced scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, or similar, and proficiency in Linux environments
- A DevOps/Platform Engineering mindset emphasizing security, developer experience, and open-source collaboration
