Platform Engineer II - Internal Hosting Platform

Job Summary
Platform Engineer II to build and scale Mollie’s internal hosting/runtime platform. You’ll extend the CI/CD integration to deploy internal applications, implement self-service tenant onboarding, and add runtime capabilities including secret and environment variable injection, team-level access control, and server-side hosting. You’ll write and maintain Terraform for platform infrastructure on GCP and collaborate with internal adopters—from engineers to analysts—to turn friction into platform improvements. This is a greenfield opportunity with real users, visible impact, and a path to broader platform adoption, AI-assisted tooling considerations, and governance across the internal tooling stack.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of full-stack engineering experience
- Strong command of Terraform for infrastructure-as-code on a major cloud provider (GCP experience a real advantage)
- Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI)
- Backend experience in Node.js, Go, or Java
- Frontend proficiency in TypeScript / React
- Familiarity with cloud-native primitives: containers, managed databases, secrets management, IAM, access control patterns
