Job Summary
Platform Engineer Data & ML at BridgeFund who will build and scale an MLOps-driven data platform powering credit risk scoring, automated lending decisions, and transaction categorisation. Responsible for creating production-grade data ecosystems across multiple ingestion pipelines and 200+ production workflows, championing data contracts, data modelling conventions, feature stores, and a model registry. Drive performance and cost optimisations for Spark jobs, implement CI/CD infrastructure across multi-repo environments, strengthen data governance and security practices, and support data science teams in adopting standards. Requires 5+ years in data/platform/ML engineering, Python/PySpark and SQL proficiency, Databricks expertise (including DABs), orchestration tooling (Airflow/Dagster), CI/CD experience, unit/integration testing, Docker, and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Platform Engineer or ML Engineer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or another technical field
- Strong experience with Python and/or PySpark, and solid SQL skills
- Familiarity with Databricks and Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs)
- Experience with orchestration tools like Databricks Lakeflow Jobs, Airflow or Dagster
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Hands-on experience with unit and integration testing
- Understanding of containerisation techniques such as Docker
- Familiarity with data architecture and system design
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
