Job Summary
Rack various sized parts onto bus bars using automatic riding hoists, manual cranes, or hand dips to suspend components into plating baths. Perform bath analysis, chemical adds, and tank maintenance while collecting samples to ensure bath parameters remain within operating ranges. Process work orders according to daily scheduling provided by the Plating/Paint Supervisor and execute pre-plate surface finishes including bead blasting, polishing, and buffing. Operate a forklift truck and obtain the LECO license, while completing required safety and cyanide training. Work Monday through Friday, 5am to 1:30pm or 6am to 2:30pm with overtime as necessary.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Wear Safety Glasses
- Handling of chemicals and or hazardous waste
- Wear proper PPE when making chemical adds or new bath make-up
- Mathematical aptitude
- In-House Training – LECO Instructed
- Basic Quality Skills
- Right-To-Know Training
- Cyanide Training
- Operate Forklift Truck and obtain LECO forklift license
- Blueprint Reading
- Safe Operation Training of Riding Hoist, semi-automatic hoist
