Job Summary
Plate Wash Assistant to support the Buttery and college food service teams with washing, storing and stocking plates, cutlery and crockery; assist with preparation of functions and rooms and processing deliveries; help with set up and clean down of student meals and events; maintain stock of cleaning chemicals and report breakages; ensure hygiene, COSHH and health-and-safety compliance; operate electrical dishwasher and monitor water softener; keep Plate Room tidy and secure college property; flexibility to work shifts as per rota.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of food service in a hotel, restaurant or College environment
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience of Health and Safety, Hygiene regulations, COSHH and licensing laws
- Desirable: Experience of food service equipment cleaning and upkeep
- Desirable: Knowledge of processing and movement of deliveries and goods
