Job Summary
Plate Saw Operator responsible for applying metal to customer orders and processing material per work orders using advanced machinery, while setting up and maintaining cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment. Maintain a safe, clean processing area and accurately enter production data, perform quality checks, and communicate order changes. The role requires completing setup notes, verifying specifications, ensuring product meets requirements, and providing feedback to supervision to improve machine efficiency and product quality. Preferred qualifications include metals-industry warehouse experience, forklift experience, computer literacy, and night-shift capability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 to 2 years machine operation experience
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Perform basic math skills
- Use of handheld measuring tools
Desired Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry
- Previous forklift experience
- Computer literate
- Night Shift
