Plate Saw Operator

Job Summary
Cut, organize, and distribute material while keeping the saw running efficiently at the Davis Creek facility. Utilize machinery for material transfer and cutting, read production and shipping orders to determine items to move, and measure finished parts with precision tools to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials, fill work orders, and assemble customer orders on pallets or shelves. Locate material in the inventory system, deliver packages to staging, and maintain cleanliness and safety in compliance with ISO procedures and MIOSHA guidelines. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience working in an industrial, or similar, setting
- Prior related experience and/or training
- Reliable work history
- Basic math skills, including comfort with decimals and fractions
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to wear all required safety equipment
- Depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work in a noisy environment
- Ability to work in an environment where Lockout/Tagout is a standard safety practice
- Routinely lift up to 25 lbs.
- Occasionally lift 50+ lbs.
- Prior forklift experience (preferred), or ability to become certified in forklift operation
- Prior experience performing data entry using a computer
