Job Summary
Sort and prioritize orders by due date and plate thickness, then inspect and clean film negatives to avoid imperfections in the plates. Review orders to determine material, thickness, and digital specifications, arranging film layout to optimize exposure area usage. Operate lasers, exposure units, batch processors, and dryers to produce quality plates, checking appearance for defects and determining necessary exposure times. Maintain inventory control for processing materials and keep the work area clean while following safety regulations. Slip sheet finished plates before delivering to the shipping department, with potential backup coverage for Shipping/Receiving and the Proofing Dept. This role supports Propelis's global marketing services portfolio, ensuring precise plate production across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Able to prioritize & plan several orders during shift
- Possesses basic verbal and written communication skills
- Basic understanding and application of mathematical concepts
