Job Summary
Review documentation and work orders, then set up work processes and machinery to apply plastic layers and jackets to wire and cable. Operate, monitor, and adjust extrusion equipment while performing quality checks and cleaning tooling. Execute cable splices during reel changes, operate forklifts and powered moving equipment, and generate labels for the ERP database. Adhere to safety protocols and report hazards promptly. Work Mon-Thur 7pm-7am in Seymour, CT.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience in cable or wire manufacturing
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently
- Physical fitness to handle heavy equipment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Familiarity with production line management and quality assurance standards
- Competence in basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
- Effective communication skills for reporting and team coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
