Job Summary
The Plastic Sales Representative is responsible for engaging in technical discussions with customers about their projects, providing guidance and tailored solutions. The role requires preparing and delivering presentations, establishing long-term customer relationships in the OEM segment, and collaborating with internal teams to exceed customer expectations. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years in plastics development or manufacturing, strong knowledge of plastic materials and processes, and proven sales experience in industrial markets.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastics product development or manufacturing
- In-depth knowledge of plastic materials, extrusion processes, injection molding, surface treatments, and related technologies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain enduring customer relationships through a consultative approach
- Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and entrepreneurial in mindset
- Familiarity with CRM platforms
- Willingness to travel to meet customers and attend industry events
- Understanding of plastic extrusion processes
- Sales experience in manufacturing or industrial markets
- Technical product knowledge in plastics
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
