Job Summary
Seeking a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join four current surgeons in a division at VHMC/DMG. Will provide inpatient and outpatient general plastic and reconstructive surgery services in elective and emergent settings, share call coverage, and teach residents. Opportunity to participate in collaborative research and to refine and extend plastic surgery services within an academic, teaching hospital environment. Must have completed plastic surgery residency and be board certified or board eligible; expertise with maxillofacial trauma and microvascular surgery is required. Prior faculty experience in an academic setting is preferred. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Completed Plastic Surgery residency training
- Board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery
- Experience with Maxillofacial Trauma and Microvascular surgery
- Previous faculty experience in an academic environment preferred
- Comfortable managing full range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients
- Ability to work in inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in teaching residents
- Ability to participate in collaborative research activities
