Job Summary
Inspect parts at the start and end of each shift to ensure they meet target output and quality standards while maintaining 5S conditions throughout the facility. Perform in-process and outgoing testing according to the quality control plan, recording defect discovery, separation, and reporting in SAP software. Communicate abnormal product conditions to supervisors and technicians for resolution and verify that proper documentation and instructions are available to operators. Ensure all production work rules, including safety and standard operations, are followed. Work Monday through Friday with overtime on weekends as needed between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Visio
- Ability to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time
Desired Qualifications
- experience in quality inspection
- experience in plastics
- SAP experience
- Experience detecting and judging general plastic parts defect types
- Understand production work rules (5S, standard operation, safety, able to communicate quality issues, etc.)
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards (QS9000/9001, ISO-TS 16949)
- Product Sample Inspection Plans
- Internal auditing techniques
- Basic understanding of APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning and Control Plan), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
- Minimal understanding of ERP systems
