Job Summary
Set up, process, and troubleshoot plastic injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment while following work instructions and specifications. Install and remove molds, adjust machine settings for temperatures and pressures, and configure robotic systems. Perform visual quality inspections, document process changes in ERP systems, and conduct root cause analysis for defects like flash or short shots. Load materials, clean loaders and dryers, and maintain a clean work area adhering to safety policies. Complete job changeovers, verify bills of materials, and communicate tooling issues through established maintenance systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret and analyze data for decision-making.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Desired Qualifications
- 2–5 years of plastic injection molding experience.
- Experience with Delmiaworks (IQMS) or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of process troubleshooting and quality improvement methods.
