Job Summary
Cut, bend, machine, glue, and assemble acrylic and other plastic materials into custom retail displays. Operate shop machinery including table saws, router tables, and heat benders while reading blueprints and shop drawings. Inspect finished products for quality and dimensional accuracy, then kit, package, and prepare completed displays for shipment. Assist in troubleshooting production issues and maintain a clean, safe work environment. This full-time, 1st shift role at Exactec involves precision craftsmanship on custom fixtures and point-of-purchase solutions for national retailers.
Required Qualifications
- Previous fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, sign-making, plastics, or related hands-on experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift materials as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Experience fabricating acrylic or plastic products
- Experience with retail displays, signage, cabinetry, millwork, or custom fixtures
- Experience using routers, table saws, heat benders, edgers, and related fabrication equipment
- Experience with precision measuring tools and quality inspections
- Leadership experience or experience training and mentoring others
