Job Summary
Set up and operate CNC plasma cutting machines using correct programs, gases, and consumables. Load and unload materials with forklifts, cranes, or manual handling while monitoring operations for cut quality and efficiency. Inspect finished parts with measuring tools, perform routine maintenance by cleaning torch components, and program nesting files as needed. Troubleshoot machine issues by adjusting travel speed, gas pressure, and kerf compensation. Maintain a clean, safe workspace following all safety procedures. Requires 2+ years of plasma table experience, ability to lift 40 lbs, and proficiency with hand tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years' experience operating plasma tables in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of plasma cutting processes, CNC controls, and nesting programs
- Able to accurately read a tape measure
- Proficiency with hand tools such as grinders, impact wrenches, and sanders
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs
- Good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity
