Job Summary
Part-time Plasma Center Technician at BioLife/Takeda responsible for donor screening and phlebotomy to support center operations; duties include greeting donors, taking donor vital signs, recording charts, using the Donor Information System, coordinating donor compensation, and identifying opportunities for process improvements. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to stand/walk for shifts, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, and lifting up to 32 lbs (occasional) with glove usage due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Shifts are 4-6 hours per day, 3+ days per week, with paid training and a comprehensive benefits program.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
- Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
- Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
- Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
- 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful
